Our research contributes to a better understanding of the mechanism of actions of chemicals in the environment - and possible health effects in humans after exposure to these chemicals. 

The chemicals our research focuses on include products for industrial and private household use, as well as products for personal use. 

Advising on environmental health
In our evaluations and risk assessments, we use data on hazard assessment followed by a hazard characterisation in combination with exposure assessment.

The risk assessments comprise a thorough scientific basis for our consultancy in environmental health to the Danish authorities. This includes consultancy on the health risk to humans exposed to chemicals and genetically modified organisms and products.
